Built
as one.
A 155mm petty built around a 26C3 carbon-steel core clad in stainless. Etching draws out the hidden current in the cladding, turning the laminate itself into part of the finished surface.

The pattern was never added. The etch simply reveals what was already there: currents in the stainless cladding, written by heat, pressure, and deformation during forging.

Seven thousand years in the making.
The handle is shaped from approximately 7,000-year-old Ukrainian bog oak, divided by a narrow lignum vitae spacer. The geometry stays quiet so the age, grain, and near-black depth of the wood can carry the atmosphere without competing with the blade.

A compact study in opposites: carbon and stainless, ancient dark oak and warm lignum vitae, disciplined geometry against the unpredictable movement revealed by the etch.
